Cancellations
Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds for missed classes. In exceptional circumstances, we may be able to move you to another session, if spaces allow.
illness
We want to keep Mini and Muddy Mayhem a safe space for all, so we respectfully ask that you please do not come to the class if you or your child(ren) are unwell with contagious symptoms or a high temperature. We may be able to reschedule your missed class but only if numbers allow, unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds for missed classes.
Safety
During all Mini and Muddy Mayhem sessions all children remain the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
Please ensure children are dressed appropriately for messy play and all weather outdoor play. Mini and Muddy Mayhem take no responsibility for damages to clothing as a result of attending a session.
We endeavour to ensure that all ingredients/messy play products are taste safe. Some items such as shaving foam, bubble foam etc are to be assessed by the parent/guardian before engaging in play.
Photography
Mini Mayhem will occasionally take photographs of classes for promotional use. If you would prefer not to have yours or your child's photograph used on any platforms, please let us know.
We welcome sharing of class photos on all social channels but please be mindful that others may not, we please request that any other children in photos are covered/blurred before posting.
GDPR
We will only use your information for booking purposes. We will never sell or transfer your information to third parties. Booking information is stored on our booking system only.
Safeguarding Policy
At Mini Mayhem and Muddy Mayhem, the safety and well-being of all children, parents, and carers attending our sessions is our top priority. We are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and secure environment where families can feel safe and supported.
The purpose of this policy statement is:

To protect children and young people who receive Mini Mayhem and Muddy Mayhem’s services from harm.

To provide playgroup leaders, children and young people together with their families, with the overarching principles that guide our approach to child protection.
This policy applies to anyone working on behalf of Mini Mayhem and Muddy Mayhem
including playgroup leaders and paid staff as well as anyone attending our sessions with children.
This policy has been drawn up on the basis of legislation, policy and guidance that
seeks to protect children in England. A summary of the key legislation and guidance is available from nspcc.org.uk/childprotection.
We believe that:

Children and young people should never experience abuse of any kind

We have a responsibility to promote the welfare of all children and young
people, to keep them safe and to practise in a way that protects them.
We recognise that:

The welfare of children is paramount in all the work we do and in all the decisions we take

Working in partnership with children, young people, their parents, carers and other agencies is essential in promoting young people’s welfare

All children, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or
belief, sex, or sexual orientation have an equal right to protection from all types
of harm or abuse

Some children are additionally vulnerable because of the impact of previous experiences, their level of dependency, communication needs or other issues

Extra safeguards may be needed to keep children who are additionally vulnerable safe from abuse.

All group leaders are aware of their safeguarding responsibilities and are encouraged to report any concerns to the designated safeguarding lead and/or child services.

We expect all parents, carers, and visitors to act responsibly and respectfully towards others in the group.

Any concerns about a child’s welfare will be taken seriously and, where necessary, reported to the appropriate authorities.

Any complaints made to or about group leaders will be taken seriously and investigated fully. All group leaders will be DBS checked regularly.
Parental/Carer Responsibility:

Parents and carers remain responsible for their own children at all times during sessions.

Children must not be left unattended.

We encourage positive and respectful interactions between all attendees to foster a safe and enjoyable space.
